ForWard Consulting LLC is a thriving practice that is expanding and seeking a part-

time or full-time Iowa-licensed therapist (t-LMHC, LMHC, LMSW, LISW).

We are a growing team, ready to bring on more people to serve our clients.

The mission of ForWard Consulting, LLC is to provide culturally responsive and quality mental

health services in our community. As such, applicants who integrate a culturally sensitive and social

justice lens into their work and who are experienced in and committed to serving

marginalized or underserved communities will be the best fit for the practice.

Students seeking supervised hours for licensure and internship are also strongly encouraged to apply as training and supervision is a specialty area of this practice.

Clinicians

Full-time, Part-time, Remote/Hybrid, Office

Job Summary

  • Provide individual, family or group therapeutic counseling and/or educational and skill development sessions as indicated in the service plan.

  • Monitor patient progress and compliance with the service plan.

  • Write timely progress notes that relate directly to the treatment outcomes described in the service plan.

  • Assemble, analyze, and interpret new/updated information about the consumer to reassess treatment needs.

  • Identify unmet needs, review available resources, and modify the treatment plan as necessary.

  • Provide only consumer services that are authorized in the service plan.

  • Establish, document, and implement treatment plans; attend organizational staff meetings.

  • Clinical skill and experience to assess, plan, develop, coordinate, and provide treatment, rehabilitation, and support services to clients with severe and persistent mental illnesses.

  • Participate in providing treatment and dual diagnosis services.

  • Maintain confidentiality and security in accordance with ethical standards and HIPAA.

  • Ensure comfort of the patient.

  • Maintain necessary patient records and inventory of administered tests.

  • Maintain timely billing reports.

 

Required Qualifications and Skills
 

  • Active license in Iowa as a mental health clinician.

  • Be willing to work at least 20 hrs/week.

  • Be able to work well independently and autonomously.

  • Strong clinical skills and commitment to providing quality mental health services.

  • Demonstrated experience in serving communities of color, LGBTQIA/queer community, and/or other marginalized communities.

  • Demonstrated commitment towards professional growth in areas of social justice, diversity, oppression, or in working with diverse and underserved communities (e.g.,workshops, CEUs, writing)

  • Adhere to the Iowa Board of Behavioral Science ethics and requirements.

 

Benefits

  • After six months of being active in your contract, ForWard Consulting will pay for one therapeutic specialty training.

  • During yearly review clinicians are eligible for percentage increase based on merit, should they choose to renew yearly contract.

Internships

Job Summary

  • Evaluate mental health diagnosis, create, and implement a treatment plan, complete ongoing documentation including further diagnosis, treatment plan reviews, and case notes according to company policy

  • Provide excellent customer service for clients and collaborate with a dynamic team to further the mission of filling gaps in our community

  • Utilize creativity in interventions to help clients achieve and exceed goals

  • Prepare and submit individual documentation for each session per company guidelines and protocol

  • Attend and participate in all clinical staff meetings and trainings

  • Other stuff we probably forgot to add but just as meaningful and important to your role ;)

 

Required Qualifications and Skills:
 

  • Candidates are required to be a current student in one of the behavioral sciences or related fields from an accredited college or university and on track to obtain licensure in their designated field

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to demonstrate and model stable, appropriate boundaries with clients

  • Comfort and familiarity working with a diverse client base

  • Proficient in the use of Office 365 and Google workspace/Gmail
